    Easy way of getting rid of partitions?

    Ok,

    I have a large number of partitions i need to get rid of.

    i have never had to wipe partitions via console/ssh so its time for me to find out :/

    Is there any easy way to delete a partition via console/ssh.

    I have a number of partitions ( around 10 ) which i need to delete.

    Thanks.

    Sorry for the double post...

    I now get this error when attempting to mount this drive.

    root@******** [/]# mount /dev/hdb
    mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdb,
    or too many mounted file systems

    In my fstab;

    /dev/hdb /mnt/hdb ext3 defaults 0 0

    Anything wrong in there which is wrong? Maybe i'm blind and not seeing the obvious problems :/

    try setting your fstab to:

    /dev/hdb1 /mnt/hdb ext3 defaults 0 0

    and doing:

    mount /dev/hdb1
