    Pendingdelete renewed for another year

I was looking at this domain and waiting for it to drop and register it. I didn't really want to use a backorder service because it wasn't that important.

I tried to register it yesterday, but it still had Pending Delete status. I look at it today, and it still says Pending Delete, even from the current registrar GoDaddy, but it has been renewed for another year and the info was last updated the day of the drop.

Is this just the registry being a little slow to update its info?

That is right registry take 20-24hrs to update new registration information after drop time of the domain.

Plus EPP domains show PENDING DELETE : RESTORABLE when a domain is in RGP - and its truely not in pending delete, thus some one can renew it during that time.

Not to mention if it is a RRP registry, some one could have back ordered it, so when it did become available they purchased it.

Verisign's public whois (for .com/net) updates every 12 hours - 5am and 5pm EST daily.

    EPP - Extensable provisioning protocol
    RRP - Registry Registrar Protocol
RGP - Redemption Grace Period (not 100% sure)
