Who here has “Email Notification” set to always?

I used to, so I could keep track of all my important posts and so on, although after going to bed last night and waking up this morning to find 45 new messages in my inbox, most from Web Hosting Talk, I’m not so sure anymore!

    So, do you?

I now only turn them on for threads I really want to receive replies on (i.e. advertising offers and such like). Everything else no

I see no point because it just fills up your email box.

I used to. I occasionally still get one when someone drags up an ancient thread.

But, as everyone else says, it just ends up flooding your inbox when you have a lot of subscribed threads.

That's exactly my thinking. If its a good thread, you'll remember the title, and don't need an email to remind you about it.

They always just come, I've never thought about turning them off. Sometimes I don't check my email that they come to for a few days, and I'll have over 100 unread messages, thats when they start to get annoying.
