Incomplete orders - Info seems correct, payment never arrives
Hi,
I have this problem that like 50% of new orders seems to have correct information, payment link shown etc. billing accounts setup etc.
But they never pay, all the information looks allright and stuff, they do not answer to e-mails neither.
What might be wrong?
I'm using PHPCoin and it's ordering system should be quite simple etc. and the problem most probably isn't there, as the payment just never arrives.
Or might these orders be those so calledly frauds, trying to see if they just put the order up they get the hosting for free?
Also, i get a lot of orders with names like asdasd etc etc.
How to get past these problems? What causes them?Pulsed Media: Dedicated Servers and Seedboxes

Well the orders like "asdasd" are definately people testing out your order process, or something similar to that. As far as the other situation...that could be individuals that change their mind in the middle of an order.

yeah it could be, but on every case they've went to the end of the order process.
If this is that they change their mind, what things i should do not to make them change their mind?Pulsed Media: Dedicated Servers and Seedboxes

They didn't change their minds... They were hoping you had instant account setup, and they could spam out/run scripts while payment verification was done, which really wasn't made in the first place. If you see asdfasdf or similar, or they're providing false information elsewhere, just delete it. They have no intention of paying for hosting. If the info looks correct, call the number listed... 9 out 10 times, if payment isn't made, it's stolen CC or paypal info with the real owners info, and the real account owner will tell you they never ordered. They're just testing you.

I get maybe 3-5 abandoned payments through PayPal each day. The person goes all the way through checkout to the point they're sent to PayPal to make payment, then don't complete. PayPal is only a secondary payment option, so these people chose to use it over providing a credit card. Sometimes they come right back and switch the payment option to credit card, often I don't know why the person left at the last step.

Calling & verifying is one option.
But somehow you often can kinda 'sense' if the information is real, or somebody just came up with it.
Other possibility is that using someone else's info tho.
none of the e-mails got returned as undelivered etc. so atleast
e-mail address existed.
Any ideas make these situations lesser etc.?Pulsed Media: Dedicated Servers and Seedboxes

It's also possible that your replies get lost among the spam & deleted.
As we get around a couple dozen spams a day, Over a week or so, that's a plain mess to sort out.
Otherwise it seems either a fake order or a fraud orders.

As long as you have a form, the imbeciles of the internet will test you out to see if they can do "whatever". Always confirm your orders by phone or by email and if you dont get a response, ixnay the order and move on with your day....
It annoying but we all deal with it. You are not alone.

Yes, you can confirm and reconfirm your order through phone or email, if they are not responding it, you may keep the order pending for some period.

Is there something about your payment area that might be making potential customers nervous? Perhaps a mismatched SSL certificate or unprofessional looking payment page?

I get these too. Half of these customers come back and make payment after I send them an email on how to make payments. So usually , I just leave the invoice for 2 months before I delete it.

There would be chance of some one might be misguiding that client or giving some naughty suggestion to switch over to other host providers after placing order to formal one ,or he has already signed with another one or just they are making fun with sending such fake orders.
While for incomplete orders, I guess that the customers may be ignorant or not qualified of that level to prepare relevant orders.
