    HTTPS / SSL Issue

    Greetings Folks!

I am messing around with using https. Not too experienced here.

But when I go to my page with IE, it gives me the following message:

"The page contains both secure and nonsecure items.

Do you want to display the nonsecure items?"

But, when I go to the page with FireFox it puts the little lock on the bottom and doesn't give me any message like this.

Do all my links within the page have to contain httpS?

Actually... I think I figured this out... When I select NO to displaying the nonsecure items, it doesn't load the images.

So, now my question is... How do I use remote images in a secure page and have them be secure? I am totally confused...

You are always going to see the "insecure items..." warning unless you meet all of the following criteria:

    - Images / remote files are accessed using a secure URL with a valid certificate (by this I mean, not self-signed)
    - No file is requested from an insecure URL/URI

If you want to get around the insecure warning simply host the images on your secure server or setup some type of a proxy(not recommended unless you know what you are doing).

Simply put, you are seeing the warning because the images are being accessed over a secure URL.
