I have a video server for security cameras(VPON-300)connected to the local area network card of my computer, and my computer is connected to the internet service provider via dial up modem (regular telephone line).
this computer have instaled a simple server program hosting my web page.
I can acces the video server (VPON-300) localy only writing the ip of the video server, but I don't know how access from the internet.
please help me!
what I need to do to make it accessible from the internet?
ISP IP= 18.104.22.168
SERVER OR PC IP=22.214.171.124
VIDEO SERVER (VPON-300) IP=126.96.36.199
If you are using Windows XP on your PC,
set up the Remote Desktop agent. In this way you will connect
to your PC's desktop and from there you should be able to access the server by opening a browser and entering the IP address of VPON-300.
I only have a pc conected to the internet by the modem on it and a video server connected to the computer by the lancard on it. no hub, no router, no broadband. I only let access the other pc's to the internet connections by the lan card on the computer. and I can acces the pc from internet becose I have server installed on it to see my files from every were. If I write the IP I only acces my local server on the pc but I don't know how redirect to the video server. And don't know to access by remote pc connection. I don't know how to use it.
ok, im presuming your using windows xp pro sp2 here.
goto start, control panel, network connections, then right click your dial-up connection and select properties, then goto the advanced tab where you should see the option for internet connection sharing, click the advanced button and then you can add services to forward ports to
Open the Help and Support secion of Windows XP.
Enter those words in the search field " remote desktop ".
After the results appear click on the first one from the " Pick a Task "
section, to be more precise click on => Set up this computer to use Remote Desktop.
Follow the steps, and I`m sure that you will manage to set it up without any problems.
You may be able to access some control panel by entering http://192.168.1.1 , it may prompt you for a username and password, if you've never accessed this before then it should still be on the factory settings, usually the username is "admin" and password "1234".
You may not even have to put a username in.
Please let us know if you can do this.
Alternative, phone your ISP and make sure they allow these ports, they may have them blocked, causing you to not be able to access this outside of your LAN.
A regular amount of time I have set up Web Servers and not be able to access them using the ISP IP Address, check with some friends or collegues to make sure they cannot access this.
I try the http://192.168.1.1 but it does not open anything. I think is becose I change the ip on my pc and on the video server and other things that I don't remember but I can't use the remote pc process becose in my work the lock the remote pc access and I need to access only like a website, from any place or computer with a web browser program.
I try to make the redirection port process but I don't know what port, I have too mutch options to mark.

I need more help.
