Thanks for the replies. I'm open to all reasonable offers, however like camp2win pointed out, anything less than $1000 would be a bit of an insult.
I can be reached via AIM as sterlingadverts for those looking for more info, or email me ([email protected])
For all those asking how many clients we currently have, I have not attempted to really market ourselves as a paid host. I'm hoping the buyer will want to do that, as it's 13,000 potential clients we're talking. Regardless we have been able to refer to other paid hosts a fair amount.
I have proof of high performance CPA programs having been run on our site, as well as profits earned via popunder ads (several hundred a month) just on the 404 pages.
I'm looking for a buyer who is able to take this to the next level as a host. Ideally someone who already hosts people and wants to improve their customer base as well as get huge publicity.
For those who have been asking, here are the public stats for the last 4 weeks. Previous stats are also available as well as proof of performance in cpa ads, and a demo of the control panel upon request.
I appreciate all the kind inquiries and posts, as well as the emails you have all sent me. Sadly I lost my email inbox to a worm (always update virus signatures!) and have lost all of your kind emails. My email now functions again, [email protected] and I will attempt to answer the inquiries made to me publicly. First, all those wishing to contact me are encouraged to email, or if more urgent call my number (listed on the whois record for atgig.com). I am willing to examine private offers, or you are welcome to bid via my ebay auction. This is a profitable business, as such please do not waste my time with lowball offers. No I'm not looking to sell it for $100. Again, I have not as yet tapped the thousands of users, nor emailed them via our mailing list regarding paid hosting. The paypal links on our page are not active. This represents great potential for a web host to come in and gain instant market share.
Regarding server info, it's on two semprons, 80 gigs hd. Yes we 'oversell'. Less than a dozen users use the whole gig. It could be run on a single 'super server'.
I have been very impressed with how CPA programs have performed on Atgig. Initially I made several hundred dollars just in ex24.com commissions. (cannot show proof as ex24 does not provide referral stats) then tried other programs including ********. While I'm sure some of you have open doubts about the legitimacy of their referral program, I was amazed that Atgig reaped well over 1,000 registrations. Any one with a site that can get 1,000 users to respond to a CPA program is in possession of great potential. Proof of this is available at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MESE:IT
We get lots of traffic as some have pointed out. Proof of such can be seen at www.alexa.com. Yesterday we were ranked as one of the 30,000 most popular sites on the web. (http://www.javacade.com/june09.gif) This is not magic traffic. I am only posting the stats for this last month, other stats are available on request. Additionally, I have taken great profit from 404/302 errors on our server (we delete abusers). I sell the million+ hits we got to such errors this month alone at $8 per ten thousand and with this money easily pay for the servers and pocket around $1,000 a month. Proof of such income is available for view at: http://www.javacade.com/day1.gif http://www.javacade.com/day2.gif http://www.javacade.com/day3.gif
I blurred buyer's names for privacy, but it should be clear that I am not losing money on the venture, and that anyone with some vision of taking the 'gmail' of webhosts over and building it into something large will do well.
Again I apologize for losing the emails of everyone. Hope this info is of use.
There is no advertising necessary, the site seems to be gathering momentum rather well from word of mouth.
Like I mentioned previously, there has been steady traffic building up for several months, I apologize if I have ever conveyed the impression that the traffic has just suddenly appeared. It has taken my time and hard work to get this to be a very popular web host.
I believe the current price has gone down on HomeFree pro, of course back when we got it we purchased it along with several other of their products which I also mentioned, those along with time we've spent having programmers modify it for our needs has cost well in excess of $1000.
