    Accuracy on AWSATS...INPUT PLEASE

    the people i get my server are telling me i'm using 80 gigs a day when awstats shows 20......and my main bandwith meter in control panel reflects the same.....i only have 1 site on my server and

    and my whm bandwidth meter says the same

    the company says there MRTG says 80 gigs and the others are not accurate....can this be ahppening?

    AWStats will only count your HTTP (web) traffic. It will not track your FTP or SSH traffic - that's where the discrepancy might come from.

    MRTG is hooked up to your port on the switch, so it is supposed to be accurate. Maybe the company is counting broadcast messages in your total?

    i hear u on that....but my ftp and ssh is not anywhere or remotely near 50-60 gigs a day

    the mrtg is what you should go by, as that counts all traffic on your server, if they say youre pushing 80gb and seeing that via mrtg then youre pushing 80gb, you shouldn't be using cpanel stats to monitor bandwidth usage anyways
