FDCservers.net LLC pro-actively monitors backbone utilization in order to ensure that bandwidth resources are equally shared. FDCservers.net LLC has no objections against burstable usage of the 100Mbit port however customers that have sustained usage of 15Mbit (outbound only) or more may be asked to upgrade to a dedicated service plan or may have their port capped to 10Mbit
All I ask is for $60 in addition to the server monthly fee.
Renewal date is up. So I would like to sell this server as soon as possible.
31/May/2005: Level(3) -> AboveNet (STATUS: ALREADY DONE)
We recently swapped Level(3) to AboveNet in order to provide better services to our customers, with less problems and higher stability as AboveNet is one of the top quality ISPs with 1.5 million fiber lines internationally. We will be using Cogent in IRC segment either as fail-over in maintenances, either whenever additional bandwidth is needed, preventing complete outages / slowness.
I think you were refering to the WEB segment who has the BGP mix of Cogent + Abovenet
Originally posted by justadollarhostin For anybody that is worried about how FDC does bandwidth, I had a machine with them on the irc segement and it was great the entire time. THis is definatley a great deal
Thanks for the kind words
We did have some up's/downs a week ago, but that was all resolved when they switched to Abovenet.
"more bw is gonna be added" has been 10 days already so far and I dont' see anything added yet. I have dedicated server on both segment, irc as welll as non-irc. Ironically enough, irc's speed is better than non-irc segment
