  2. You can check out INDEXU at http://www.nicecoder.com
Tell Dody, the owner, Roy of Cpanel Skin Depot sent you there and see how he treats you.

If you have $450 to burn, use Gosammer links.

Damn, I have reviewed features more carefully and found that this isn't very good for software listings, only links.

I have again read entire hotscripts section on link indexing (17 pages!) and found another one which are more suitable for software: http://turn-k.net/k-links which is rich in features. But still I need a script which can post listings with images.

If you are wanting to make a Link/Content Management directory/system of any sort, I think Gosammer links is better than anything else in the market.

But if you are wanting to make something in the the line of http://sourceforge.net, then you can use the SorceForge software that can be downloaded from their site under GPL licence.

    Hope this helps.

If I am not wrong, hotscripts.com was using older version (2.x I think) of Gosammer links till recently and then they made a switch to in-house software.

I remember of one script on hotscripts (3-4 years ago) which looked exactly like hotscripts are using. Sadly I donn't remember what it was exactly.

It looks good, it is coded VERY well, and gets updated often... and did I mention that it is free? Tell David, that Carlos sent you!

    Cheers,
    Carlos
