For the bank I am at you need two forms of IDs. You must be of legal age as well unless parents sign with you (not sure how old you are). As well you need to sign a lot of papers. It is very simple and only take about 5 to 10 minutes tops.

First question, where do you live? What type of bank account are you interested in opening, savings etc?

    18 by legal age

and you need a photo ID
All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better.

I would suggest bringing: social security card, driver's licence, school ID (Highschool or college), parent (if no previous CC/bank account), tax statements, yourself, previous research on types of accounts.

Simple answer: call the prospective bank that you're going to apply at and ask them which type of documentation they need. Some will require more than others. I recommend checking out Wells Fargo, they've been great to me.

Btw the legal age to open a bank account in most countries is 18 unless you are opening a joint account or can have someone sign with you.
