    Question mod_status showing 32k slots

Anyone ever seen this? Server load is higher than I would expect under the current load and when I enabled mod_status to get a snapshot of what the server was doing it's showing 32k (32,768) slots.

    P4 2.8 GHZ - 2 Gig RAM
    linux - kernel - 2.4.31
    Server Version: Apache/1.3.31 (Unix) PHP/4.3.8 mod_perl/1.27

As far as i know, the number of slots in your scoreboard file doesn't have anything to do with anything, really. Its just the theoretical maximum of apache processes you can have.
