    * pho doesn't work on any folder

    Hi

I am facing a weird error today. I noticed it at least on 3 servers.

If I put my php files on my main folder (public_html) they are considered as php and executed.

However, îf I create any subfolder and put php files on it, they are not executed. If I call them on any browser, it shows the php code directly on the page!

Any hint is more than welcomed!

You may recompile apache from /usr/local/directadmin/scripts/customapache.sh as well.

Thank you for your hints. The line

    AddType application/x-httpd-php .php

    Exists in the httpd.conf

    Here is the entire file:

    LockFile /var/run/httpd.lock
    PidFile /var/run/httpd.pid
    ScoreBoardFile logs/apache_runtime_status

    # SSL_SERVER_CERT. These contain the PEM-encoded certificates of the
    # server (always existing) and the client (only existing when client
    # authentication is used). This can be used to import the certificates
    # into CGI scripts.
    # o StdEnvVars:
    # This exports the standard SSL/TLS related `SSL_*' environment variables.
    # Per default this exportation is switched off for performance reasons,
    # because the extraction step is an expensive operation and is usually
    # useless for serving static content. So one usually enables the
    # exportation for CGI and SSI requests only.
    # o CompatEnvVars:
    # This exports obsolete environment variables for backward compatibility
    # to Apache-SSL 1.x, mod_ssl 2.0.x, Sioux 1.0 and Stronghold 2.x. Use this
    # to provide compatibility to existing CGI scripts.
    # o StrictRequire:
    # This denies access when "SSLRequireSSL" or "SSLRequire" applied even
    # under a "Satisfy any" situation, i.e. when it applies access is denied
    # and no other module can change it.
    # o OptRenegotiate:
    # This enables optimized SSL connection renegotiation handling when SSL
    # directives are used in per-directory context.

Done and httpd restarted. But the problem is still the same. PHP is displayed as is, except if the php files are located on the main folder...

    May be this helps.

This not a folder problem. I think apache doesn't consider

    <? ................. ?>

    as PHP. It needs:

    <?php ............................... ?>

    There is anyway to add <? ... ?> ?
