    What's the deal with domainname.com?

    what's up with these people?

They have a domain I want, but they don't give me any price. Only some sign up form asking me for my credit card info... Some kind of scam?

Theyt hide it well but they register domains for $26.95/year. You can do much better elsewhere.

What do you mean by "they have a domain I want".
If the domain is unregistered then you can register it anywhere - & cheaper.

I didn't feel like contacting them, because I didn't want them to know I was interested in the domain. But yes, they hold the deed.
