Reverse DNS Records
I'm trying to set up reverse DNS entries properly so that the specific IPs return to the correct domains on my server...
Currently, the xxx.xxx.xxx.0/24 entries in the DNS Server show:
xxx.xxx.xxx.10/24 -> domainb
xxx.xxx.xxx.2/24 -> domaina
xxx.xxx.xxx.3/24 -> domaina
xxx.xxx.xxx.11/24 -> domainc
xxx.xxx.xxx.12/24 -> domaind
but when I do reverse DNS lookups on any of the 5 addresses, they all return domaina.
I'm sure the bit mask is screwed up, but I'm not sure what I should be setting it to.
Does your ISP/hosting facility delegate PTR rights to you, or is the result you're getting coming from their DNS servers??
