    is intel celeron good?

    is intel celeron good for a server?

    here are the specs

    Processor:
    Intel Celeron 3066 MhZ
    Memory:


    1024 MB RAM DDR 400 Infineon

    please help im a total newbie to server and hosting but im uber at php & mysql

    Going to the store to buy groceries...sure - street racing? probably not

    What are you using this server for? How many sites if webhosting. What kind?

    2 forum probably 300+ active and image hosting only 30kb-1mb of image.
    there could propbably be like 1000+ of those images

    If it's a low use forum with only a handful of members online at a time you'd probably be okay with the Celeron.

    How are the images being served? Will they be static images called by URL or served from a database?

    Your celeron will be fine - make sure you have 100mbit ports though
