What is a good program that can make flash demos? I did a search and only found ones that are around the $500.00 and up range. Yeah I can just buy them at demodemo.com or cheapdemos.com, but I rather do it on my own.
Captivate is pretty much the industry standard, and not much else comes close to it, in my opinion. I had the opportunity to sit down with the RoboDemo/Captivate product manager and discuss some of the inner workings of the software. She demonstrated some of the functions within the software and how easily it could create professional instructional media.
Personally, I'm sticking with DemoDemo. I have a server coming and a set of tutorials with my name all over 'em. I'll leave the demo making to the demo professionals and concentrate on my business instead

Another alternative is Camtasia Studio which runs about $299 I believe.

In every head-to-head comparison I've heard about, Captivate won hands down. The instructional media group down the hall from me uses both, and openly prefers Macromedia's product. But I haven't used Camtasia personally, so perhaps it's strong enough to do what you want it to do.
Ahh, I haven't priced Captivate/BD in a couple years. The last time I saw a price tag on it, it was $299 as well. Coo', your testimonial on Camtasia is certainly worth more than my casually supported secondhand info. Looks like something worth checking out
Well, I don't want to get sued and kicked out of my school presently SO I cannot share any examples, sorry. But all the instructional videos are Flash. Voice commentary is a nice feature which the videos I have for reference obviously have. I think Captivate runs for $499.
