    any others like paypal?

Hi, I've created a new subscription system that revolves around paypal's many web services and I was wondering if there were other credit card processors that have similar functionality to paypal so I wouldn't be sacrificing functionality by offering an alternative. So, I'm looking for a feature-packed alternative, not 2checkout .

    Here are some:

    Paysat
    Stormpay
    Worldpay

paysat and worldpay don't compare to paypal when it comes to web services. stormpay seems to want to try to copy paypal with a wannabe IPN, but their site looks very unprofessional.

You misunderstand what I'm asking... If I wanted a general list of processors, I could just google for it. I'm looking for something that:

    1. allows recurring orders (subscriptions)
    2. notifies my server when order is placed, cancelled, refunded, etc (IPN)

Most offer number 1, but I have yet to see one that offers the second one except for paypal.

    IPN

A lot of the ones mentioned does support "payment result/recipt" sendt to your server, but everyone does not call it IPN

Worldpay , gives you just this and in addition you can get reccuring billing and a virtual payment terminal.

chronopay.com also supports reccuring billing and "IPN"

they send a receipt yes, but they don't notify for each payment and won't notify when someone cancels for example. I know it's not called IPN, I'm just naming it as it's widely known.

    As for payment:

They do send individual notifications for each and every payment/order with accepted or declined.

    As for recurring payment:
The systems for recurring billing are different from provider to provider, but most have solutions for notification when someone cancells their subscription and/or there is insuficient funds to cover the periodes fee.

If you want it to just plug into the "ipn module" you are using with Paypal. Then, no it will not work with other providers.

If you set up a send/reciver system based on the integration specs. from the choosen provider, then quite a few of the mentioned companies can provide you with these services.

By the way, this is my last post in this tread...I wish you the best of luck in your search.....

I don't want to necessarily plug into the ipn code I'm using... I just want it to be close because alot of my work comes from manually managing billing issues. So, you have been implying that there is a processor that notifies for each payment and also tells me when a subscription cancels or fails. Who is it? Are these email notifications or is this a server response that I can work with like paypal's ipn? I'll check out chronopay and reply saying what I think thanks.

I've sent chronopay an email to verify they do what I require, thanks for the suggestion. If you have any others just in case, I'd appreciate it alot. Chronopay seems to be able to do what I want, but they don't have any public documentation for me to be sure.

PayPal is great for the small stuff, but I have a bad feeling about trusting them for large transactions. They've frozen a lot of stuff for people and people wait a long while to get their money unfrozen.

    I agree!

I believe they usually have a good reason to do what they do, and even though, I've been annoyed with some things, I don't blame them for it. 2checkout is alot worse than paypal .

Chrono looks great on the outside, but support is horrible to the point that it's inexcusable. I recommend everyone to not even pay them a visit.

Any other suggestions? Here are my requirements spelled out clearly:

I'm currently using 2checkout and paypal as my 2 payment processors, but I'm currently moving all 2checkout buyers over to paypal because of consistent problems that I no longer want to deal with. Anyway, I want to offer an alternative to paypal now that it will be the only payment option, but I'm requiring better integration than what most companies offer. I've developed a paypal integration module that automates most of the billing issues I run into with clients. I don't expect anyone to be able to do everything paypal's many API options offer, but I'd like for something close. So, here are my integration requirements.

    I need a system that:
notifies my server everytime a recurring order is processed.
notifies my server everytime a recurring order is cancelled or has failed
allows me to set prices dynamically without having to create items within a system

it would be great if it was possible to modify a recurring subscription rather than having to create a new one and cancel an old one when someone wants to upgrade their service. an API manual I can review would be great.

I'm also in the US so I'd like to avoid non-US companies although it's not a requirement. I'd appreciate for someone's help.

An alternative is to keep 2CO, but direct users to PayPal by giving a higher product fee for using 2CO.

It's like brick-and-mortar shops that have a surcharge if the bill is paid by check (or a discount if it is paid with cash.) It minimizes 2CO usage and truthfully compensates you for the higher fee they charge.

I could care less about the fee, I no longer want to use them for many other reasons...

    Have you checked ClickBank?

Clickbank doesn't look suitable for web services such as hosting and doesnt' offer any of my requirements.

    ok, ok, ok

I will go back on my statment not to post more in this tread, since no solution seems to be fortcomming...

Worldpay can give you these services, they do cost a little extra but is rock bottom solid and serious.

    Read this regarding callbacks:

    Worldpay callback info

    Read this regarding integration:

    Worldpay integration info.

Ok, since you are US based...

Authorize.net together with a us merchant account

    Recurring Billing Info

    Integration Metodes

I this is something that sounds ok to you, there are plenty of resselers represented in this forum who can give you a good deal on such a setup.

authorize.net is very good with information after an order is processed, but it doesn't look like it notifies when payment cancels or fails
