.AM Domain Registration

Hi All,

I am currently looking to register a couple of .am domain names and was wondering if you could refer me to some reliable registrars that would do everything online.

I have found Xternet, which is located in Armenia, and their prices are pretty reasonable: 13200 Armenian Drams (Roughly $30) for Armenian Residents and $50 for non-residents.

So my question is, are there any other raliable registrars that you know of that register .am domains (and preferrably ones who will be able to provide a contact address themselves)?

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks... I new about ArmNic (The main Registry) but as far as I can see it doesn't offer any online domain administration/management tools. You have to fill in forms and send it to them and wait until they change it for you.

As for dot.am they charge around $75 a year, which is a bit our of my budget... plus I personally don't like registering a country extension at a site that uses Radio frequency abbreviations to advertise them.

I'm not trying to be picky... but I really hate getting ripped off by domain registrars and having to wait a week for a change to take effect.

Any other suggestions?

The registry charges 50 dollars - so the company that is charging 50 dollars is registering domains at cost, and the one that is charging 75 dollars is adding a 50% mark-up which isn't all that unreasonable.

According to the registry web site applications have to be individually approved and the approval process takes three days, so there is no way to register .am domains instantly.

Thanks for your reply. I think I'll register with AMNIC directly. That way I get it both at a relatively cheap price and don't have to worry about the middle man being a fraud.
