hello ive read this forum from afar without registering because i had been looking for a dedicated server ,cheap that had alot of transfer.
after seeing someone post about hivelocity.net i decided to check it out.
in various emails with them asking my questions and then finally ordering last thursday by sending cash(western union) money instead of credit card,i still have no recieved accesss to "my server" only broken emails stating mine will "be up soon"
anyways sent them an email asking for a refund, hopefully they will refund the 200 i sent them because i dont know what course i could take other than calling the better business bureau in tampa.
just a heads up in that their "once we recieve confirmation of yuor payment your server will be up in a few hours"
its BS in my experiences
i sent it by western union(thats what i meant by cash, sorry)
i got confirmation emails that it was picked up as well as emails from hivelocity that it was picked up.
im not gonna going to use paypal or onlince credit card.
at any rate since i seen this company posted here i am just telling my side and what my personal experiences with this server company have been.
im really leery now of renting anytype of server anymore afraid all that gonna happen is my money being lost.
:whistles: the post was edited to say western union .
and that i have the conf emails from drew there that it was indeed picked up as well as several "your server will be up soon" emails from them when i inqure what the prob is.as well as a western union conf. email stating who and where it was picked up.
at any rate if i do not hear back from them in the morning by all means i will post all my logs as well as see what can be done to get it back.
Heh.. everyone jumped on the cash thing. Hivelocity isn't a scam. My experience with them is if its a non standard order pricing or config sometimes there are delays but they are not a fly by night company by any stretch.
well sig i hope your right and if indeed they turn out to be that,i will edit my posts as well as see if it can be closed,i do think 1 week is long enough especially when they already knew ahead of time before the money was sent that i wanted the unmetered server as well as the simple config with no add ons.
they kept saying oh your server will be ready same day,to get my money sent.
oh well i really dont believe someone would would send money in an evelope but at any rate..
i dont really care if my money uis returned or the server is up or whatever happens.
i do know if my server does come online i will not renew the subscription period.
i dont want to do business with a company that doesnt have the gumption to email their customers and state exactly what is going on.
my 2 cents on the matter
yes it is frustrating sig,i cant edit my posts or maybe i would after this.....
well wow posting in this forum brings success i must say....
i just checked and noticed i have a reply from an accounts manager from 3 minutes ago.
very in depth reply i will add and stating why my server is not online.
i thank you to who sent it ,i feel this should of been stated already..
at any rate,i thought i would post that i have recieved contact from them, maybe now the ball will roll

everything is taken care of now,my money is being returned friday.
and i will go with someone else or just wait on fiber.
actually jolt i probably should not of said scam but at any rate if someone tells you something and then you send them money and then things change without any clue or response in a weeek i think you would start to wonderer as well.
case closed in my regards
Other than some mis-communication on Hivelocity's part, I don't see where they did anything wrong.
Most Banks do not treat Money Orders as "cash" anymore and it can take 7 - 14 'business days' before the cash is actually in the account. If Hivelocity was waiting for that to happen they should have advised you of such. You will probably run into the same situation with any Hoster and payment by Money Order.
