You could probably find something within budget with a Celeron-M processor.

I think I saw Best Buy had some extremely cheap deals on laptops this week...some were $500. I don't remember what kind of processor they had though.
Haven't been on WHT for 6 years!

Check out slickdeals.net. Every so often, I'd say once a month lately, Dell has been offering $750 off of a $1500 laptop coupon code, which makes your cost about $750. (The site seems to be down now - I usually check it a few times a week and never have issues, so this is probably a temporary situation)

Take a look on eBay, get a decent second hand machine for that price rather than a brand new crappy one

Same applies to cars, and uhmmm nearly everything else in the world ...

Your Price is a bit low for what I would consider to be a usable laptop.

However I did find some Dells for you.

You should wander around the Dell site and try to mix and match stuff.
They have coupons that if you spend enought time with em you can get some great deals. I recently got a Dell 9300 loaded to the gills (17" widescreen + the 6800go with 256 megs of ram/ 7200 RPM 60 Gig HD) for $1457 Shipped and with tax. This machine plays WOW much better than my desktop.

If you are into used laptops my friend just go in 25 or so laptops. And I bet there is one that meets you budget.

Its not the best laptop in the world but a Dell Inspiron 1200 is around $648.00 and does a pretty good job. Free shipping is included.. takes about 1 1/2 weeks to receive it from the time you order.

My Dell Inspiron 6000, works like a charm. But I got 1GBram, 120GB hdd, and some other extra goodies with it.

Try http://www.dellauction.com for refurbished laptops, at cheap prices. I've bought numerout computers from Dell Auction, and they've been great. In fact, I'm using a refurbished 233Mhz laptop right now. However, my new laptop just arrived today, so I should get off of WHT and start configuring it .

Consider raising your budget or lowering your expectations for that price range, especially the part about the overnight shipping; it's just not realistic.

You should be able to find a laptop with the price you want and the specs you said.. its not that big of a stretch. Now the over-night shipping.. is near 0% possible.

But getting what you want for the $700ish price is possible and probable.. don't listen to'em
