I would recommend Google, Overture, Findwhat, 7Search, and Search123. Don't worry about "high traffic", per se, but worry about good Return on Investment (ROI). You really need to do your homework about how to track conversions, set up ads (especially in Google), bid correctly, and deter click fraud. You can spend a lot of money on PPC ads with little results if you are not careful.

There is an exact thread already up on how to advertise (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=409987) why would you start another one? Usually before you just start posting your questions, you check to see if the question has already/is in the process of being answered.
Originally posted by GG Hosting Chris I recently started my own hosting company and was wondering the most cost effective way to advertise. I also want it to be of high traffic so I can get some clients. Thx!
As you have started recently, I would like to suggest you to look for a local advertisement, which will be cost effective and you will easily get noticed to your local market. Meanwhile you will get a concrete base at the beginning itself and an easy response, concentrating it locally.
Offer sponsorships to sites, that usually works quite well.
This works for me. I give a graphics community a discount on their hosting bill for a banner ad (there are no other ads on the site) and I average around 3 new customers a month, all purchasing my most expensive account. It isn't a lot of customers, but it is a very cheap way to gain them.
