    Hello:

Would you mind posting your httpd.conf file? it's the main configuration file for Apache in case you didn't know. Also? did you copy php5ts.dll to $systemdrive\windows\system32? And php.ini to $systemdrive\windows?

    Thank you!

this is a commen problem on new installs. PHP is not running your code. It is displaying it as php. Are you running php as a mod? have you tried the all in one installers? foxserv, apache2triad? those make it easy to start but you need to tweak if you will use it in production.

Well i take it back, you should never use this setup in production. If you are on windows use IIS or switch to unix based for apache.

From the bottom of your config file I can see that your PHP directives are commented out.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

    #LoadModule php5_module c:/php5/php5apache2.dll

    # AddType allows you to add to or override the MIME configuration
    # file mime.types for specific file types.
    #
    #AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .phtml .html
    #AddType application/x-tar .tgz

    -------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not a Windows user (I haven't sat in a Windows box in at least 4 years), so I may be wrong here concerning your Windows setup. But in a Linux/UNIX box, you need to take the pounds ( '#' ) away from the begining of your PHP configuration lines and restart your httpd daemon for apache to allow php to parse the PHP files. The outcome would loke like this:

    -------------------------------------------------------------

    LoadModule php5_module c:/php5/php5apache2.dll

    # AddType allows you to add to or override the MIME configuration
    # file mime.types for specific file types.
    #
    AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .phtml .html
    AddType application/x-tar .tgz

    -------------------------------------------------------------

    Hope this helps.
