Kayako

I like the Kayako layout. Any other similar software but without the hefty price tag?

SitePanel2: http://sitepanel2.com/

I was planning on using this and bought a license, started to play with it but never launched it, then I bought another hosting company that already had Kayako up and running so I am sitting on an unused license of SitePanel2.

If you like the way it looks PM me and I will contact Morgan (the creator) and see if he minds me selling you the liscense.

I think that Kayako is not too overpriced IMHO.
knowledgebase.net pricing is what I will define as 'hefty price tag'.

There is a Kayako clone I saw a while back.
http://www.dvrtechnologies.com
Check it out. That is definitely within your budget.

I didn't see a price so you know it has to be expensive.....I would say a *little* overkill for the average host.

Says who?

Quote:
$19.95 - Helpdesk Lite Yearly License
2 Departments, 2 Users, 50 Knowledgebase Articles, 50 Troubleshooters, 15 Downloads, Unlimited Tickets, licensed yearly, renew license after each year.

$16.95 - Helpdesk Monthly Hosted License
Unlimited, no restrictions on product. Guarnanteed online support when your site is not. Entire helpdesk is hosted on our managed servers. We apply all upgrades/patches free of charge.

$34.95 - Helpdesk Full Yearly License
No restrictions on product, you pay for licenses on yearly terms, at the end of each year you renew your license.

$69.95 - Helpdesk Owned License
No licensing restrictions, you own the product, no required renewals
And Bashar, come onnnn.... their design is pretty decent I say.

They do.....sort of...

For the owned edition,
http://knowledgebase.net/products/roi.asp
It is a calculator to calculate the ROI.

For the hosted edition,
http://knowledgebase.net/products/hosted/pricing.html
Starting at $4,080.
Definitely not for the faint of heart.

Can anybody here PLEASE explain their 'arms and legs' pricing???
I seriously don't get it.

If you do not pay the upgrade fees, you will not be able to update the script after your upgrade period expires. If you want to stay up-to-date with their software, you have to pay the yearly upgrade fees
