MS Access on Windows 2003
I'm having trouble with connection to MS Access files located on a network (drive/share) and not physically on the IIS machine.
When I try to connect to the MDB file via ASP, I get the following message:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] '[given path]' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.
For the record, I should mention that I also tried to map the network share to a drive on the IIS machine and I got the same error message in the ASP file.
If I connect to a local MDB file, everything is ok.
What is wrong? Can't I connect to MDB files on the network?
In my current IIS/storage configuration, we must work with the websites' files located on this network path.
