    Best competition prizes?

If you were running a competition aimed and techs/geeks what prizes would you think would be most recieved. I was thinking a PSP/IPod Shuffle. Anything else come to mind?

A free dedicated server for one year!

An iPod would be more realistic however.

Yup all sound good. Something that is cheap to ship is also handy. I.e. not 32" TV's

Go with an iPod Shuffle ... it's sweet because it's a music player and a handy flash drive.

Plus, you can get three iPod Shuffles for the price of one PSP. You will get more sign-ups if they think they have a greater chance.

I'd not sure about iPod's in particular. They tend to be geared for the mainstream. Geeks don't generally participate in mainstream.

Personally I would stay away from the ipod crap, its been SOOOO exploited, it just has scam / email/info harvesting written all over it..

You're better off having a few prizes, have some cheapies in there so it looks legit to new people joining the contest..

Yeah, but they do like multi-function devices ... that's why the iPod Shuffle is nice ... Music and Flash Drive ...
