I took your advice and sent them a message and asked a few questions. They responded in less that 5 minutes. They knew plenty about what I was asking and offered some assistance in the migration. I am assuming that is pretty good.
www.MediaHost.com's prices are definitely real world but I'm not crazy about setup fees for shared hosting accounts and found it ironic that they only compared services to those who also charge similar fees. With so many providers out there who offer free account creation (as it should be) with a money back guarantee, I'd personally look elsewhere.
Should you however use MediaHost, please come back and give us a review in a month or so. If you're still looking around, take a look at www.kualo.com. They've got a killer "SuperPlan" and support is top notch from what I experienced so far.
I will definetly check back in a month or so. I setup my account with MediaHost early this morning. So I will see what happends.
They have already been extremely helpful.
I can see your point about setup fees. I took a look at the site you suggested. I get a little spooked when I see offers for tons of disk space and tons of bandwidth for less than most. It has been my experience that sticking with companies that actually offer what they are selling is the way to go. Not saying your host doesn't. Just something that I was thinking.
