I have a small forum, which has pictures attached to the posts, the pictures display one on top of the other going down, so if you have a few pictures the post becomes very long. So I changed the styling so the thumbnails displayed in a row but the problem is that they flow over the edge of the board so it creates a vertical scrollbar and looks ugly. I haven't been able to figure out how to get them to adjust to the width of the screen and drop to the next line when needed. I attached a picture to so how it looks, I have tried putting it in a table and it just goes outside the page. Any one have any suggestions?
Hey Nick, I just thought of something. It makes sense for the information above each picture to be in a table, with the picture underneath. But I would consider not putting each unit (pic and info) into table cells at all. If you just leave them as inline data, they will fill out the screen and automatically bump down a line when they no longer fit across.
Now, I know nothing about the engine that's generating these, so I wouldn't have the first clue how to make the change in your markup. But if you know it well enough, see if you can make it so each little table displays inline without the extra framework around it. I'll bet that will solve all of your problems
That seems to be working after some tweaking to the style and removing all the descriptions, the filenames were really screwing it up, there are still some spacing issues, but thats minor at this point.
I spoke too soon, it works well in firework, but doesn't work in IE, figures, time to tweak some more.
