    GoDaddy Dedicated Server?

Hello there i would just like to know what you guys think of GoDaddy's. I am in the process of buying a server. Ive noticed a problem they do not give cPanel/WHM as one of their control panels, Would i have to install these myself? And is their a charge?

    Thanks.

i would not go with godaddy. They are a domain registar..domains are their main products. I think you should go with a company which specialises in Dedicated Servers. Do a search on the forums and see what comes up

If you do decided to buy from GoDaddy, you would have to get your own cPanel license from one of their external resellers...such as www.buycpanel.com

I personally would choose a company whose flagship product is their dedicated server line, and not domains.

IF I were you, I would not go with godaddy, you may try layeredtech or quickpacket, they are cheap and reliable .

Forget to mention, there is Hudson Digital ( Which is my favourite) their servers are cheap and stable, you may consider it.Godaddy is good at domains but not at server hosting according to my friend who bought.

They grew enough in the last year or two that they actually could have their own.

It apeears that godaddy has their own ASN too - cool.

Well I mean godaddy could be a good dedicated server host. Keep in mind, their business is not mainly domain names but webhosting as well

I woudnt reccomend them. Just go with a well known dedicated server compnay and not a domain company.

Actually godaddy isnt to bad. They are a very big company, larger than most hosting service companies. Did you see their ads on the superbowl comercials. They host their ded servers where their servers are hosted, so you know they are secure and mainatined by good techs. Still I probably wouldnt go with them, but it isnt like they are horrible.
