HostingRefuge.com - Forum/Article/Directory for sale - Amazing opportunity
Hey,
I have run out of time to manage my site, www.HostingRefuge.com and think the best option would be to sell the site.
The site has great potential and could really be made into a large site even with the loyal following it currently has.
The site has three great sections, the forum, an article section and a directory.
All three are being sold as one in the site.
This is the current stats for the forum:
Threads: 2,660, Posts: 20,317, Members: 619
What will be included in the sale?
VBulletin license (Owned - Cost - $160)
Custom vBulletin skin
SiteWorksPro license (Cost - $199)
All custom coded files
All custom template/image files
Copyright for all articles
All databases and script/site files
Domain names (Also hosting-talk.net)
Help from me to get you started when you takeover the site
How can payment be made?
Payment can be made via cheque, money order, and paypal. If paying via paypal you must pay the fees.
The reason for this is that I would like to keep the payment offline simply to keep out the fees and speed up the process.
How much are you looking for?
I will start bidding at $750 and please bid in minimum increments of $25.
I have the right to close this or not sell to the highest bidder if I do not think the bid is high enough.
I have put a lot of work into the site and as such, I would like to see a good return on the time I have put into it.
If you have any questions, just let me know.
Thanks and good luck,
JohnJohn Diver

Thanks immortal9
Reported my post to moderators, not too sure what I have to do to get it verified but I have all info for it
Yes it does generate income, I don't have the figures here right now but I think it averages around $250/month from advertising.
I can get concrete stats later if anyone needs those, have been keeping a log of all advertising.
Thanks

Hello John,
If I could get the advertising logs, that would be great. As well, could you provide general AWStats/Webalizer site visit stats?
Thanks in advance.

The site has been getting very inactive for the last month or so because I have been concentrating on my offline businesses because they are growing very quickly and demanding more and more of my time, that's exactly the reason I want to sell the site to someone that has more time.

Hey Rus,
The site really needs an admin to keep things going.
Anyone that has a forum especially will agree with me that you keep to constantly work on a site/community keep keep them returning.
The site will need someone that has the time to run it, I don't have the time and because of that there are less visitors coming.
I know that the site and forum could be a lot bigger at this stage if I had the time needed to give to it, someone that can do that can really take it forward and make something of it, all the potential is there.
Cheers Rus,
JohnJohn Diver

High bid now $950.
There are a few people that want to keep bids private but if they are the winner I will post their username, or they can post if they don't want to keep it private.
Thanks

I think most, if not all, the others that were bidding have stopped now.
The last bid was from another person.
He didn't ask for it to be kept private so just to show these are actual bids, not just me throwing out numbers, it is Pinny from SitePoint.
Thanks
