    multiple DNS web access

I am putting multiple DNS for one website/domain pointing to servers in geographically different locations. Example:

My question is when user try to access my domain/website, will it hit the 4 DNS at the same time and the fastest server answers to get the traffic? Or it goes to the primary server first, if not working then goes to second server, if not then goes to third, like that...

Also, If I add a new DNS from a different location, do I need to change the Zone files on the Primary DNS server? If it is neccessary, How should I change it?

Any advice, suggestion and help will be appreciated.

root servers give a random reply to asking nameservers to usres.

having multiple dns servers usually for better stabilily.

if the rootservers gave a reply for non-working nameserver it will pick another random server from the listed nameservers and so on.
