I knew it would happen - however I dont think its the drug - I think its the old wives tale coming true - because not only were they found to be blind - but they also suffered from hairy palms.

hehe...Mom always said doing "something" would cause you to go blind...guess it's more prounounced as you get older.

The reason these drugs are supposed to be by prescription only is because there are contraindications for taking them. I wonder whether the people who developed blindness had the conditions which the manufacturers had stated in advance were known contraindications. If so, did the patient conceal information from the physician? Did the physician prescribe it disregarding available information? Did the patient get it from the internet or similar source to circumvent the examination/prescription process?
