hail to the planet
Hi,
I just ordered my new server from planet matrix, 119 without setup for 1200GB bandwith, 80GB space... redhat 3 , cpanel/whm and 10GB backup plus their gold support plan!
24 hours after ordering I still dont hear back.. 48 hours later I call and hear the order was canceled..
I am in need of the above specs for the above price, or better (specs)
Anyone/

Let me get this straight --
You ordered a server from The Planet/Server Matrix.
24 hours went by and server wasn't setup nor did you hear from them.
48 hours went by and you called and they said your order was cancelled?? Did they give any reasons for this? Did you just say "Ok thanks" and hang up? It really doesn't make sense.
Maybe it's only me.Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.

My budget, as stated above is 119 per month. the specs I am looking for also for the above. I have to migrate about 9 clients over.
The reason is unclear to me, and to whomever I speak to at the planet. They advised me to order again.. I think I learned my lesson and move on to a somewhat friendly and better supporting company.0

You should be able to meet or beat the specs at places like LayeredTech.com.

I wouldn't say TP had anything for support in the last two months. You are probably better off as they told me they are low on HW and low on Techs.

The reason your order was cancelled could be a dozen reasons. None of which can be discussed on a public forum, as this would allow people to find ways around our approval process.
I do apologize the order was cancelled but I am sure we had a reason to do this. We are not in business to cancel all orders.
Good luck and thank you for the interest.Jeff Reinis

theplanet's support does seem to have degraded a bit in the 2 years I have used them. For example, I created an abuse ticket 2 weeks ago, and it has still gone unanswered. I just hope their "focus series" division has a different dedicated support team since we're planning on ordering from them soon.

That is the really odd thing pstation, because I totally know how you feel. I can submit a ticket and sometimes get a responce in like 2 - 5 minutes. Other times I can post a ticket and not get answered in days...
Its truly a hit or miss. I still have an abuse ticket that I opened up, and it turned out to be a mistake. Mind you TP could of had possisbly already read it, but I replied back it was a mistake.. please ignore and close. Its been open about 2 weeks now.. odd..█ www.JGRoboMarketing.com / "Automate. Grow. I've been considering The Planet for my next dedicated server purchase for quite some time now, but lately I have changed my opinion due to what seems to be bad support. I've seen a number of reviews which make me think that The Planet has poor and slow support, so now I'm looking at EV1 and several other companies.

I've had a few issues with ServerMatrix but generally they've been fast, except of course that I am outside the US and that tended to introduce a few delays....
