    bakup software

Hi im not sure if this is the right forum to post this.

As an extra to offering hosting, i want to offer some bakup space, is there any software for a customer that can automate this for the average user (not to complicated).
similar to cpanel but a php frontend and database that can allow users to login and browse their computre to upload.
These accounts will be totsally seperate from hosting accounts.

you can set it up for them using rsync if you want to provide them backup space offsite.

There are a tome of PHP scripts at hotscripts.com you can use for this. Take a look. If you need help with it, let me know.

There are several softwares available for windows server but you are required to have a tape drive over the server. When it comes for linux you can run the php scripts and if you want to have frequent back-up then you can run a cron for the same.

Another option would be using RAID. The recommended one would be RAID 1 or RAID 10 or RAID 0+1
