Could you rephrase the question. A URL can be different things but, by definition, a WWW address is a URL.

I haven't made 5 posts yet, and the fourm won't let me post the question in proper format. I tried to to use the start of the url, but it blocks my posts. I'll try to reword it though..

OK, here goes...

I bought my domain name and hooked up with a web host. They sent me the information I need to publish my site (using Frontpage).

Now here comes the part that this forum blocks... soooo....
The address is an htt p address (shouldn't be a space in there)
instead of a www address.

My question is what do I need to do to become a worldwide website?

Thanks again,
sillyme

Hmm

Do you want your website to come up by:

www.mydomain.com AND
mydomain.com

?

or do you mean, your domain points to a redirect like
someone types: www.yourdomain.com and gets redirected to:
users . mindspring.com /~sillyme

so when a visitor is on your site, they see:
users . mindspring.com /~sillyme

If that is the case, you need to go to your domain registrar and repoint your domain to another provider.

- I think that is what you mean, you need to ask your host to add the appropriate DNS to make this happen.

There are some very popular sites that just work with: www.mydomain.com and NOT mydomain.com

Odd, it is ...
