    Killzone on PS3.

Have a look at the graphics of Killzone on PS3, I have no words to describe it it's just so real (we're so close to real life).

It's the first person view, not a pre-rendered movie and you can't get it until ps3 is out

Holly smoke. There's almost no different between game and movie.

I think XBox 360 will be a distant second again.

Pretty good realism, but I'd like to see explosions happen at real explosion pace, instead of that old slow-motion gimmick.

I think that was a pre-rendered movie mostly because the in-game speech cannot be like that

That is not ingame footage its what they say the game footage is going to be like, so it does not take a genius to work out that it may look nothing like it at all....

can you use the actual link, at least that way we know what we're getting.

    wmv file thanks.
<erno> hm. I've lost a machine.. literally _lost_. it responds to ping, it works completely, I just can't figure out where in my apartment it is.

It's all CGI, but supposedly a "representation" of what games will look like. Sony is known for over hyping, anyone remember the Emotion engine?
They won't look that good for a few years.

    realism...

    where did you see that?

the explosions where in slow motion, didnt see any blood. the list is endless.

if sony add realisum to games then i will buy one. but i dont see the point as i have my pc. if there was some how where i could play the games online i might buy one.

Im an equal supporter of XBOX 360 and PS3. There is no difference in performance of these machines. They are at near equal performance points. I'm going to get both systems for sure, and then get myself a gamefly account to enjoy all the games

Yeah. Wasn't the PS2 supposed to have CG-quality graphics?

Jan-Bart: Yeah, it's basically a representation of the look and feel of the game we're trying to make.
The game they're -trying- to make. Nowhere do they say they can actually make it look like that on the PS3.

But the fact is that Sony attempts to trick the average consumer into believing that's what they'll be getting. That's just going to lead to another unhappy initial customer base.

You will see when they came out, the graphics will be 100% identical, and run at the same speeds. You've only read the company's take on the performance, and they each only announce the best part of their system, and not the bad parts (why would they do that?). The truth is, the two systems are near equivalent. In terms of features, it's a tough one, PS3 has the blu-ray DVD players coming with it, a much cooler look, and bluetooth controllers. XBOX 360 has the awesome xbox live, and all the other standard (including a wireless controller) things. When you compare everything down the line, the systems are near equal.

I'm sure you have some kind of proof to support your statement?

    lol
In my opinion, the xbox 360 will not have a chance. It would be close, but the ps3 will take the top.
    Why?
nVidia > ATI in my opinion!
    Cell > x360 processor.

    what more do you need?

The awful thing about this is that Nintendo will probably come in third again--their selection of games is awful for the GameCube, and I would hate to see how bad it is for the new system.

This is a bit off-topic, but does anyone know about the Phantom gaming system (Phantom.net)? I hvan't heard much about it since last year's E3.

Originally posted by CNN "The company believes, based on past performance, that there is a high likelihood that sufficient capital will not be available ... and many or all of these milestones will be missed and the launch date will again shift and/or the company will go out of business," it said in the April 20 filing with the SEC.

    there's a surprise
