    Backbones DDoS

Anyone heard about backbones being ddosed with 6gb/sec? Over the past few days IRCD servers of mine have been very unstable (and I know alot of other networks dropping links)... I'm not sure if they are getting ddosed, but thats the word I hear (and 6gb/sec!)- something defiently up. level3 was down yesterday and now abovenet... Can anyone clear up on this?

You names looked the same to me at first.

    Back onto the subject:
6gb/sec is loads! They should be able to stop it soon. I hope.

Doesn't surprise me none the least. IRC Networks have been getting DDoSd for many many years now. Its an unfortunate cause from a medium that mostly supports teenagers.
