    PHP.ini - FWrite and FClose

My current webhost doesn't allow FWrite and FClose.
The owner has told me it would be ok if I can find out how.
I assume it has to do with the php.ini file.

Does anyone know what to modify so that it will allow Fwrite and Fclose in php?

    Thanks in advance

    At a guess, it's a case of:

    a) They have fwrite and fclose in the disable_functions ini setting

    b) They aren't aware that the fille/directories need the correct permissions to be written to by the web server user when running as an Apache module.
