    Limit quota per directory(folder)

    is there anyway to limit one public directory to a certain amount of space?

    Yes - if you are using linux then you can create a new group and set quota to this group - then change the ownership of the folder and its sub-folders to this group - then set a sticky bit on the primary folder.

    This will ensure that whatever files are written into this folder now belong to this group - since the group has a quota limit, the amount of space used by the folder qill be automatically restricted

    Hey how would you go about doing so for this? When you create a new user? Where do you enable/use quota?
