Revealed: health fears over secret study into GM food

Iíve always said that genetically modified foods shouldnít be sold in Britain. We donít know anywhere near enough about the consequences of eating GM foods, and what we do know isnít very positive.

I say itís by time the British government said no to genetically modified foods Ö although unfortunately they canít even if they wanted to (although unfortunately on top of that Labour doesnít want to say no to GM foods).

Wales wanted to do that, but the European Commission overruled them and said no.

    Nothing but, net
Rats fed on a diet rich in genetically modified corn developed abnormalities to internal organs and changes to their blood, raising fears that human health could be affected by eating GM food.
What abnormalities developed? What changed to their blood happened?

My problem with reports like this is that they don't give enough information to do anything useful.

What if the abnormalities were good or there were good changes to their blood? It is possible and without the information in the reports we are left to speculate.

GM food is a great idea but I feel that it does need more research done.
