    Arrow .NL Registeration

    Hi All,

Can you refer me to a cheap and reliable .NL Domain Registrar?

GoDaddy, Dotster, and DomainSite are way too expensive. RegisterFly offers them for $9.99 a year, but I tried registering a .NL domain name and they charged my credit card but didn't register the domain name.

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. 5.99 Euros... That's pretty cheap! Do you know if they are ICANN Acreditted? I've been ripped off already once trying to register a .NL Domain name, I don't want it to happen again.

    Thank again.

icann accreditation has nothing todo with ccTLD

you might want to contact http://www.domain-registry.nl/sidn/flat/Home/ and ask them since http://www.iana.org/root-whois/nl.htm shows they are the registration service provider.

The list of accredited registrars for the .nl registry can be found here:

    http://www.domain-registry.nl/sidn_e...x.shtml#Overig

These are registrars accredited with the .nl registry (SIDN) - as Bashar rightly pointed out, ccTLD registries appoint their own registrars and it's got nothing to do with ICANN.

PS Here is another list, in country order (as opposed to alphabetical order):

Transip is known in the Netherlands and are a trustworthy company. I especially like their interface. You can do everything online, even sign the necessary documents online. Cctld has nothing to do with Icann indeed. They are accredited by SIDN though.............

Transip required a bank account, which I didn't want to give out. So I used my Credit Card and registered the domain name for $10 at Cee-Kay, which is also SIDN Accredited.

    Only if they:
Have a Dutch bank account (see above), and a Dutch address.

Not quite. There needs to be a Dutch address in the registration, but it is entirely legitimate for the registrar to provide the Dutch address. It says so on the SIDN web site.
