I have generated a certificate in whm but I need to change the info.
This is the default cert for cpanel logins and webmail and so on.
When people access cpanel it stands < server unknown info unknown and so on >
Inset it a little unserious?
How can I add the info I want?
I have root access so it can bee done this way maybe ?
I don't really remember there ever being a way to change the Cert Info.
If you're really looking to get a good cert, then perhaps you should pay for it and get it from one of the people out there. It should not cost you more than $100/year.
Actually, the cert follows what your system was originally configured as. So lets say if your server was named and configured as "server5row4.yourdatacenter.com" before your name and etc was installed and put into cPanel, then the cert will show it instead of what cPanel shows.
I hope that's how it actually works (in cPanel), please do correct me if I'm wrong.
