Red face Echo bandwidth usage via PHP?

Hi, I run an image hosting site. I have made modifications, changes etc. and only one thing remains - displaying how much banwidth the site has used. Is there a way to display the sites bandwidth usage via PHP without running some 3rd party bandwidth monitor? Cant PHP connect to the raw apache logs etc.

You can read the logs with PHP (not a problem, as they are plain text files). You really don't want to re-invent the wheel though. Check (and other resources). Perhaps there is something out there that you can use.

You might also consider plugging into the many excellent and free statistics packages available. Have them do the data collection (what they are good at) and then write your own frontend to it in PHP.
