    HFW down - favour

I am sorry to bring this up, but I cannot access anything on the HFW site. I`ve been having a few problems recently with my ISP and was hoping a few others could check this link for me? Yes, my own sites at HFW are also down.

It`s been down around twenty minutes, but I wanted to check see whether this was my end first!!

My entire VPS is down. I'm pissed.

All their sites (www, forums, support) are down, except hfwdomains.

Down for me (Comcast, Washington State). Not able to resolve host name.
If you have to operate your company behind the scenes or under a fake name, maybe it's time to leave the industry and start something fresh.

Going from what I'm seeing both their DNS servers are down and there isn't any
routing to them. Its either a data center problem or something else

    Greetings,

I was told by one of my friends who works for them that they're being DOSed, basically over 350 mbps:

Hope they manage to get it resolved soon.

Yes, It has to be a datacenter issue. They have been down about an hour, of course their phones are overloaded (they have not been able to hire phone people fast enough to keep up with their recent growth so they surely can't handle calls for something like this) and of course their site & e-mail is down too.
But I can't even get a trace to make it to the SC main addresses at the datacenter so something major fried. Router, switches, who knows? But something pretty high up the "food chain" or you would at least be able to reach the datacenter and a trace won't do that, much less their branch to their address blocks & cages.
So it's all down and we can only wait & watch. This is when they could have a little account with some other host in some other datacenter just for a little blog on a different address, so on the rare occasion when this type thing happens they could tell us what's going on and provide some type ETA so we could tell our customers.

    Exactly my thoughts too

I`ve never been a fan of their phone support. In the times that I had to use it, I have always found it ringing off the hook, and eventually I just gave up!

Anyways, here`s to hoping everything is up very soon. Right now it looks rather grim

Well as soon as I posted I came back up. So progress is being made. Their site wasn't back but my dedicateds are coming back on. Everything else should be pretty quick. This must have been a biggie, they usually stop a DDOS in 10-15 min. tops.
