We are getting an increasing number of customers wanting massive cheap storage. I've seen a couple of these 2u 12-bay sata storage servers floating around the web. Anybody have any good suggestions? That sounds ideal to put a nice motherboard in a 2u server, 12x400gbyte sata drives with a 3ware controller running raid 5.
Where can I get the best/cheapest 2u 12-bay barebones server?

The Supermicro SATA 15 drive chassis is indeed nice. It's heavy, but I was surprised at how well built it was and at its power supply set up and cooling system. Seems like a very cost effective enterprise-grade unit.
