Sports club looking for good cheap web hosting!

I am looking to host a web site for my local sports club, i am looking for something that may include a forum or guest book, and a couple of e-mail addresses. I don't know what the traffic will be like and the site does not take up much room, no more than 300mb at the mintue. later i was thinking of including a back end to the site, for individuals to change content anywhere on the web using jsp more than likely, with a mysql database included.

Their are hundreds of hosts around with those specs. I would suggest looking around this forum at reviews, offers section, signatures then doing some research on the hosts you find, make sure to send presales emails and find out as much as you can about them. It is better to spend a bit of extra time looking now then having to look again in a few months if this one isn't any good.

Try the offer section of WHT.
Check "Shared and reseller hosting offers."

Good luck

Hi,

Sure as Lubby outlined you can find plenty of hosts which meet your requirements. Do ensure you do your research on the company as it can save you lots of headache in the long run.

Also, don’t necessarily go for hosts which provide unlimited of anything as its usually a gimmick to get you to signup and when you read the fine print after you realise its not as much as you thought at first.

Again, Big-boy hosts are also not the best choices if you are looking for a cheap solution, smaller hosts can provide just as good services, with plenty of reliable support, it’s a matter of looking at what hosts are there for you to use and then researching them further.

When you look at the support a company provides, see what documentation, tutorials and guides are available, along with how they handle support requests as it will give you some idea on how reliable the company may be in terms of servicing your support needs.

Best of luck with your choice.

You will find many hosts here at WHT that will fit your specs.
Take a few moments and email some about your needs. Make note of their response- or lack there of. I suggest looking at some of the smaller - more motivated hosts.

Also, you would probably like a small opensource content management system such as php-nuke, post-nuke, or php-fusion.

Plesk and the application vault along with Mambo can also help, so cPanel is not the only solution out there
