    upgrading from centos 3.4 to 4

    Hi,
    i wana upgrade from centos 3.4 (32bit) to centos 4 (64bit),
    i am useing cpanel,

    how can i upgrade this ? any suggestion ?

    Right now cpanel does not work too well with 64 bit.

    If you dont know exactly what you are doing, dont attempt it. CPanel and centos 4 still has alot of bugs anyways, i reported two this week alone.

    If you want CentOS 4, you should go with the 32-bit version. 64-bit will not work very well with Cpanel.

    What cPanel says it'll support and what it ACTUALLY supports without error are two different things

    You're welcome to give it a try, but I think you will be very disappointed. Just about everything is broken.

    dude, just give it some time. CentOS 4 is new in its development and these applications will need some time to become stable. Unless you plan on being a beta tester, just wait and be patient.
