Need Default Cisco 3600 IOS image

It's after hours (can't contact Cisco) and one of our redundant routers took a dump (unformatted 'flash:' error) and I don't have an image upgrade for it (my admin company upgraded the IOS for me previously). I did a 'dir flash:' and it gives me an lseek error and doesn't have an image in flash apparently.

Does anyone have a way to obtain the latest Cisco IOS image for a 3600 Series? I'm new to this somewhat and my lead engineer had an ladder accident so I'm left trying to find a recent IOS image to upload to the router at the console via xmodem.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

    Clarification:

Version 12.1 or a Version 12.2 image for a 3600 Series router is what I am looking for.

If it is for an existing redundant router, why not tftp copy the image off of the existing primary router?
Install Cisco or 3com or whichever tftp server software on a box that is connected to the network, then copy the existing image onto that box.
Next, copy from that box onto the redundant router.
You should have a copy of the IOS and running config on a separate box on the network just for this reason

Sorry- perusing Cisco- not sure if these IOS images are only accessible with a special registered account (I think I created a Guest Account). If the images are available elsewhere, I would be interested in finding where else these IOS images would be stored. Thanks again,

Excellent idea - I will try that. Is there a best practices procedure posted at Cisco somewhere? Google isn't being too helpful there.

'c********.121-5.XM is the name of ther file in my redundant router and when I try to upload it via xmodem at the rommon# prompt, it says "ERR: Fie is not a valid executable"

Any way to convert this image to an executable file? It obviously executes on the other router so why not this one?

It will of course already be in binary format. I'd suspect somehow it wasn't downloaded properly from the original source. You used TFTP to "copy flash tftp" from the IOS from the functional router to a TFTP server, eh? I assume it was TFTP-downloaded from the working router to a PC or UNIX/Linux server running some sort of terminal communications app.

Here is a good guide to Xmodem rommon console downloading:

Changing the console baud rate to a higher speed (xmodem uploading at 9600 baud can be quite slooooooooooow for very large images):

You do realise that IOS is like any software and is protected by copyright law and needs to be licensed?

KDA- I suspected as much which is why I was not looking for an image if it required a license.

As it stands, Iam trying to simply restore the image from my other router which isn't working. I also believe I found the problem- bad flash media which I will try to get replaced quickly here and try again.

You do have a Cisco maintenance agreement, right?

Hmmm...if you did, you'd know Cisco has 24x7 "network down" support options that are always available.
