rhather than having the text above the picture to put it beside the picture - would make the page a bit shorter and use the whitespace to the right of your images in a meaningful way.
You have the word home just below the Flower that is your main banner - it stays the same on every page - At first, I thought it was the link back to the homepage. Consider either making this dynamic text that shows a tree like structure of where you are in the site or make it a small logo that is on all pages.
Validate your website as well before you release it.
Best of luck with the site.

The site looks fab, lol, am very impressed if this is actually running on mambo CMS you have managed to do an awesome job if that is the case.
Some recommendations I can make are:
A) The search option, maybe you could align the image so its more to the left so it starts with the menu text below it, it looks a tad out of place, and you could increase the size a little so at least the text written inside 'search' is clearly visible.
B) On the right hand navigation, the Polls section appears a lot higher than the start of the left hand menu; maybe you could lower this so they are both level making them both look more in place.
Hopefully when you do this, the introduction title tag will become clearer, you could just drop the whole line all the way across from under 'introduction' and 'polls' so its level with the left hand menu.
C) Making the text size a little bigger may make the site a little easier to read, older people may have to strain a little to see the text.
D) Try to keep your menu's consistent in size. Either make the introduction text bigger, the recipe of the month, both or one of them
Other than the above suggestions, a well developed website. If you want to improve compatibility, search engine ranking improvement visit http://www.w3.org and follow through the html validater, this will help you setup your site so it is W3C compliant.

Due to the previous script with bugs and security issues. I've updated the site with a totally different layout.
Please take a moment and let me know what you think. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Sorry, no cruel comments here but I'll comment anyways. my 2 cents... Overall, it looks nice. The Most Read and Latest Recipes should probably be the same height. Font size is fine for me but might be small for some viewers. The search recipes text box seems a bit hidden along the top right. As a user searching for a recipe I would enter a key ingredient or two in the search rather than browse through tons of recipes. I'm anti-underline unless its a link (for usability reasons). You underline the baking time, prep, etc. I might add 1 or 2px padding between your borders and the text. Finally, you might want to use search engine friendly urls. overall looks good. hth
