Switched over to Mozilla

I coulldn't take the popups anymore with IE, especially recently. I'm using Mozilla now until MS sorts their problems out.

I took the path of -

IE >>>>>>> FIREFOX >>>>>>> IE

but, I hear you shriek -

"but Jordan, why did you change from firefox to IE"
well, it's quite simple, IE is undeniably faster than Firefox and, although Firefox is alot more secure and feature-packed....speed is of the essence for me. I can deal with all the security at the back end (ie. My HDD)!

According to a recent article on theregister.co.uk, firefox is currently worse than IE for security.

I have found quite the opposite, especially with .php sites. Firefox is loading faster for me.

Something that bothers me about firefox is that is displays websites "correctly".

This means a lot of websites now display incorrectly for me in firefox (but fine in IE).

I know IE is displaying them (technically) incorrectly, but they look correct in IE...

If you know what I mean...

Actually I found firefox loading to be faster. They certainly had their issues, but it is fixed usually within 24 hours of disclosure in true open-source function. No way IE is even close to that. usually it takes months if not longer for something to be fixed.

IE loads "faster" when I open it as it's built into the OS, but Firefox certainly loads websites faster.

I can't imagine not using tabs again. That is where the speed is for me and it certainly improves my productivity.

I’ve found Opera and IE to both load themselves, and also load websites, faster than Firefox.

I find now the only two browsers I ever use are Opera and IE; Opera is for my everyday browsing, while IE is for the sites that won’t load properly in either Opera or Firefox. So Firefox, for me at least, is pretty useless.

Mozilla is great, I am using it, esp like the built in anti spam filter. But I heard they are stopping the development, is it true?

Also one thing I hope about Mozilla is that it can have those auto prompting for updates whenever an update or patch is available.

Firefox may slower than IE out of the box but once you apply these: http://forevergeek.com/open_source/m...fox_faster.php

Firefox is undoubtedly faster than IE. <3 Firefox.

FireFox loads much faster for me.

From a programmers stand point it's also much more secure than Internet Explorer. Sure FireFox has had some security threats of of late, but they were promptly patched before exploits were released and readily available.

I can find about 10+ readily available security exploits for Internet Explorer. Microsoft takes to long to patch etc etc.

Not to mention all the popups, spyware, adware and all that other delicious stuff Internet Explorer just can't beat.

My main browser is Opera, only for websites that don't work properly with Opera I use Microsoft Internet Explorer. Especially some Chinese email accounts seem to be optimized for Internet Explorer, and of course many websites written with Frontpage.
